FAIL TO COMPLY AND UTTER THREAT CHARGES FOR LOCAL MALE (Elliot Lake, Ont.) On July 15th, 2008 received a complaint of a possible threat. The complainant attended the OPP office in Elliot Lake and stated he was fearful of a neighbor.

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) On July 15th, 2008 received a complaint of a possible threat. The complainant attended the OPP office in Elliot Lake and stated he was fearful of a neighbor.

Police investigated and learned that the suspect had attended the residence of the complainant on two occasions upset for unknown reasons and had threatened the complainant.

The OPP arrested and charged Randall Albert ORSAVA (48) of Elliot Lake. ORSAVA is charged with the following:

Utter Threat to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
Fail to Comply (X2)

ORSAVA remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

CALL TO POLICE NETS COMPLAINANT SEVERAL CHARGES

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) July 16th, 2008 at approximately 8:25 p.m. police received a call requesting they attend a lodge north of Elliot Lake regarding a possible assault.

Police attended the lodge and spoke with the complainant. Investigation revealed that the complainant/suspect was observed removing diesel fuel from equipment on Portelance Road. Workers in the area approached the complainant and an altercation ensued.

The complainant/suspect then left the area and attended the lodge to call police.

Charged with the following is Weislaw LACH (46) of Elliot Lake.

Impaired Driving
Over 80

LACH is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court October 7th, 2008

DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE!!!!!!

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) On July 17, 2008 at approximately 11:33 p.m. while on general patrol on highway 108 police observed a vehicle with their 4-way flashes activated.

Police stopped and through investigation the driver was charged.

Charged with Over 80 – Operate (Care or Control) – Motor Vehicle is Raymond William POST (22) of Caledon, Peel.

POST is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court on September 2, 2008.

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) An officer of the East Algoma OPP while on general patrol on July 18, 2008 at approximately 2:03 a.m. observed a vehicle on highway 108 nearly striking a police cruiser.

Police stopped the vehicle and the driver was arrested.

Charged with the following is Robert W. O’CONNOR (60) of Elliot Lake.

Impaired Driving
Over 80

O’CONNOR is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court on September 4th, 2008.

UNKNOWN VEHICLE HITS DEER

(Garden River First Nation, Ont.) At approximately 3:50 p.m. yesterday afternoon a deer was struck and killed on Highway 17 East. It was reported to Police because it was lying in the middle of the Highway.

No vehicle was observed at the scene and no damage was reported to Police.

SPEED AND ALCOHOL DON’T MIX

(MacDonald Twp., Ont.) An OPP officer on patrol on Highway 638 yesterday evening around 10:00 pm observed a westbound car traveling at a high rate of speed.

The driver was stopped and upon investigation advised the officer he had consumed alcoholic beverages. After initial roadside testing, the driver was brought back to the OPP detachment for further testing.

Charged with one count of Operating a Motor Vehicle with over 80 Mgs. of Alcohol is 36 year old Marc HALLAERT of 55 Lewis Road in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

HALLAERT was released on a Promise to Appear for court.
