WAWA - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East Wawa Detachment is currently investigating a complaint of mischief received on July 08, 2014.  During the week of July 01 to 07, 2014 unknown persons attended the local scrapyard located on Tremblay Road and smashed multiple car windows. During the incident a new motor vehicle battery was taken.

Observant neighbour helps police

ELLIOT LAKE – On Friday June 27, 2014 at approximately 2 p.m., a watchful neighbour on Washington Crescent in the City of Elliot Lake called the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) to report a break and enter in progress. 

Officers attended Washington Crescent and located Dale BOYER, age 40 of the City of Elliot Lake, inside the residence. 

As a result of the investigation Mr. BOYER has been charged with the following

  • Break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence
  • Break and enter – commit an indictable offence
  • Breach of probation

The East Algoma OPP would like to thank the watchful citizens of Elliot Lake.
