CHECK OF HITCHIKER NETS HASHISH

At 4:15 p.m. yesterday, while checking vehicles on the highway, a Sault RIDE officers decided to question a hitchhiker travelling to British Columbia. After a short conversation, about 20 grams ($400 worth) of hashish were seized from the 26-year-old Montreal man. He has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and breach of probation. He was arrested and is being held for a bail hearing today.
