UPDATE-911 AND PHONE DISRUPTION DUE TO POWER OUTAGE
All Services Have Been Restored
(WHITE RIVER, ON) On June 27, 2013 the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East White River Detachment reported that 911 and telephone service was not working due to a power outage in the White River area. At this time OPP advise that all telephone services have been restored. 911 and phones are now working for the entire area.
CHAPLEAU MALE CHARGED WITH ASSAULT
(CHAPLEAU, ON) On June 27, 2013 the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East Chapleau Detachment officers responded to an assault complaint on Connaught Street in Chapleau. The complainant reported being assaulted by a male that had since left the apartment building. OPP located the accused and arrested 61-year-old Albert LAROCQUE of Chapleau.
The accused stands charged with one count of Assault and Breach of a Conditional Sentence Order. He was held in custody pending a Bail Hearing in Timmins on June 28.
