Counterfeit Currency Surfaces In Elliot Lake

The East Algoma OPP is presently investigating the surfacing of a counterfeit $20.00 bill.

The currency bearing serial # BN13521874 was received at a local grocery store. Upon further examination of this bill police noted it to be smaller in size and of poor quality.

Shoplifting In Elliot Lake

On March 7, 2006 at approximately 1:51 p.m. the OPP received a call to attend a local grocery store regarding a possible theft.

On scene, police learned that the suspect had taken items from the store and had allegedly left without paying.

Charged with Theft Under is Nancy Ann HALL (53) of Elliot Lake. HALL is scheduled to appear in court on April 4th, 2006.
