SEARCH WARRANT EXECUTED IN HAVILLAND TOWNSHIP

(Havilland Township, Ont.) On Wednesday, the 26th March, 2008 officers with the Sault Ste. Marie detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, the Sault Ste. Marie OPP Crime Unit, members of the OPP Project P (Pornographic Unit) and E-Crimes Unit executed a search warrant on the dwelling house in Havilland Township.

Arrested and charged with one count of Possession of Child Pornography, one count of Importing and Distributing Child Pornography, and one count of Failing to comply with conditions of his Undertaking is Robert MUHONON, 35 years old, of 16 Albert Terrance, Havilland Township, Ontario.

Robert MUHONON has been taken into Police custody and being held pending a bail hearing set for April 1st, 2008.

NUMEROUS BREAK AND ENTERS REPORTED NORTH OF THE CITY

(Fenwick Township, Ont.) Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a Break and Enter to a residence in the 1000 block of Pineshores Road yesterday afternoon around 12:30 pm.

Entry was gained through the rear door of the residence. Alcohol was taken. The break in occurred sometime in the previous 12 hours.

Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a second Break and Enter to a residence and garage in the 1000 block of Pinshores Road yesterday evening.

An owner reported the break in occurring in the past few days. Stolen items include DVD’s and CD’s, and a toolbox.

(Havilland Township, Ont.) A break in to a camp located off Highway 17 North in Havilland Township was reported to OPP yesterday.

The break in occurred within the past month and was discovered by the owner upon arrival yesterday. One chord of wood was burned and food items were consumed. Entry was gained by damaging the doorway front entrance. (Vankoughnet Township, Ont.) A resident in the 200 block of Bellevue Valley Road in Vankoughnet Township contacted OPP yesterday evening to advise they had their snow blower stolen from a wood shed on the property sometime in the past 3 days.

The snow blower is described as a 2002 “Yardoworks” Canadian Tire brand, dark green in color.

MALE CHARGED WITH ASSAULT

(Aweres Township, Ont.) Ontario Provincial Police responded to a family dispute in Rupert Acres Trailer Park yesterday evening around 5:00 pm.

Further investigation resulted in a 41 year old male being arrested and charged for allegedly assaulting a 16 year old male who lived in the house.

The male is being held in custody pending a bail hearing today.
