TRACTOR TRAILER ROLLOVER (WHITE RIVER) – On May 20, 2009 The OPP were dispatched to a single vehicle collision involving a Tractor Trailer unit.
TRACTOR TRAILER ROLLOVER

(WHITE RIVER) – On May 20, 2009 The OPP were dispatched to a single vehicle collision involving a Tractor Trailer unit. The vehicle lost control while proceeding along Highway 17, Chapais Township near Fungus Lake causing the unit to enter the westbound ditch and rolling over. Minor injuries were incurred by the driver and passenger. As a result of investigation, Amar VIRK age 41 of Mississauga, Ontario was charged with “Careless Driving” contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario. The vehicle was subsequently removed from the scene.

MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION

(CHAPLEAU) – The OPP received a report on May 15, 2009 advising of a vehicle pulling a trailer being involved in a collision which occurred when the driver swerved to avoid striking a bear. The accident occurred on Highway 129 in Nimitz Township. The driver lost control and the small aircraft which was on the trailer received extensive damage as a result. This incident is still under investigation. There were no injuries reported.

R.I.D.E. – As a result of several RIDE checks throughout Superior East patrol area, 294 vehicles were checked with no infractions noted.
