BUSH SEARCH FOR STACEY DELINARDI COMES TO AN END

The extensive search for a missing thirty one year old Sault Ste Marie man in Duncan Twp was called off last night.

Mr. Stacey Delinardi was reported missing to the Sault Ste Marie City Police on November 28, 2005. On December 1, 2005 his car was found abandoned, deep in on Conner Road in Duncan Twp, northeast of the Sault Ste Marie City limits. A search of that area was started last December was hampered by heavy snowfall.

Police searched the area in early April, when the snow was still on the ground, with the OPP helicopter, snow machines and an OPP canine handler. Last week four specialized OPP Canine handlers were brought in from various parts of the province. The four handlers spent three days searching a large area of Duncan Township with cadaver dogs.

Up to fifty five trained searchers from Sault Search and Rescue, OPP and the Sault Ste Marie City Police have been looking for any signs of the thirty one year old man since Monday. The search parties found no clues that would assist in locating Mr. Delinardi.
