Tires Punctured (Elliot Lake, Ont.) The East Algoma OPP is currently investigating mischief to a trailer parked in the rear of Oakland Plaza.

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) The East Algoma OPP is currently investigating mischief to a trailer parked in the rear of Oakland Plaza. Police have learned that sometime between September 13th and 22nd, 2005 unknown person(s) attended the rear of the plaza and punctured small holes in the sidewalls of each tire of the trailer.

Anyone with information regarding the above mischief is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-705-942-7867.

Break and Enter Investigation

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) Police are currently investigating break and enter to a residence on Spruce Avenue in Elliot Lake.

Sometime on October 2nd, 2005 between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. unknown person(s) entered the residence via a window. Once inside the following items were taken;
Sanyo 32”TV
5 Yamaha speakers
Yamaha Stereo
Sony Playstation &18 games
1 jewelry box containing watches

One Person In Serious Condition After HWY 17 Crash

Goulais River, Ont., One person was admitted to Sault and Area Hospital last night after a car rolled over on Hwy 17 just north of Havilland Shores Drive in Goulais River.

Last night at about 7:00 p.m. a vehicle was northbound on Hwy 17 just north of Havilland Shores Drive. The driver was approaching a curve in the road when she lost control of her car. The car slid into a rock cut, rolled onto its roof and came to rest upside down on the highway.

The driver was taken to Sault and Area Hospital’s were she was treated for multiple serious injuries.

At the time of the crash there was heavy rain and high winds in the area. Twenty five year old Annette TRUAX, of Barrie Ontario has been identified as the driver and lone occupant of the car. The car was destroyed in the collision. The highway was close in both directions for several hours as a Technical Traffic Collision Investigator with the OPP examined the scene.
