GOULAIS RIVER - On May 12, 2020 at approximately 8:30 p.m. members from the Sault Ste. Marie Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a domestic incident in Goulais River, Ontario.
Officers attended the scene and located a person who had been assaulted and as a result, suffered minor injuries. The victim did not require any medical attention
As a result of the investigation, a 53 year-old person from Goulais River, Ontario was charged with the following:
- Assault - spousal, contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code (CC).
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on July 22, 2020 located at 426 Queen Street, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
