The East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police say they arrested a person on Sunday in relation to threats being made.
The complainant reported being threatened by a person at a residence on Hillside Drive South.
"The person reportedly threatened to stab the complainant to death and burn their house down," the OPP said in a news release.
Thomas Pidgeon, 54, of Elliot Lake was arrested and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.
Pidgeon is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on July 11.
None of the allegations have been tested in court and Pidgeon is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
