Sault Ste. Marie OPP responded to eight motor vehicle collisions on the four lanes, highway 17 east on Saturday, December 28, 2013.

These collisions occurred within a five hour period between seven p.m. and midnight.

No injuries were reported. Several vehicles had to be towed.

Motorists are reminded to adjust their driving habits to the road and weather conditions.

Weather changes, particularly during the winter, can occur suddenly and dramatically in Ontario. Without warning, sudden storms and plunging temperatures can drastically change road conditions and reduce visibility.

Driving too fast for the road conditions is the number one cause of winter collisions.
