CUSTOM RACING SNOW MACHINE STOLEN
Searchmont, Ont.,

Sault Ste Marie OPP is looking for a customized racing snow machine that was stolen from the races at Searchmont this weekend.

Sometime between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Saturday evening, thieves stole the machine while the owner was working on a second machine. The snow machine was parked outside a trailer on the race site.

The owner remembers two pickup trucks parked near the trailer that were gone when the machine was noticed missing. It is believed that the machine was lifted into one of the trucks because the owner didn't hear the machine start up.

The machine is a 2003 Artic Cat and is customized to race professionally. It is a lot louder and lighter than the normal snow machines. The estimated value of the machine is over $10,000.00.
