Driver Arrested For Impaired Driving

(MacDonald- Meredith- Aberdeen- Additional Twp., ON) On February 24, 2013 at approximately 1:50 am Sault Ste. Marie OPP and Echo Bay Fire Department were dispatched to a single motorized snow vehicle collision on Church St. in Echo Bay, Ontario.

The driver, who was not wearing a skidoo helmet, received head injuries as a result of the collision and was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police investigation revealed that the driver had been consuming alcohol.

Thirty two year old Adam Jesse MITCHELL of Gamble Road, MacDonald-Meredith-Aberdeen Township was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle, and Operate a Motor Vehicle with over 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused was released on a Promise to Appear for Provincial Court on March 18, 2013.
