DRIVER CHARGED IN FRIDAY’S MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION
(Laird Twp., ON) – an investigation into a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 17 East and Bar River Road Friday afternoon has led to charges against one of the drivers.
A vehicle travelling southbound on Highway 17 was struck by a vehicle travelling westbound on Bar River Road that crossed the highway.
Forty seven year old Kathleen DAWES of Cemetery Road in Macdonald Township was charged with Fail to Yield under the Highway Traffic Act.
The female driver of the southbound vehicle was transported to hospital by ambulance with non life-threatening injuries.
Both vehicles had to be towed.
