Mischief Leaves Citizens of Elliot Lake and North Shore Vulnerable

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) On Saturday morning sometime between 4:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. someone who had absolutely no concern for the safety of their fellow citizens punctured the tires on several emergency vehicles parked at the Elliot Lake office of the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police.

A total of twenty-three (23) tires had been damaged had been damaged on 3 personal vehicles, 7 cruisers and one community service vehicle parked at the front and rear of the Elliot Lake office. City of Elliot Lake vehicles, EMS and Fire department vehicles were not damaged.

The officers had to scramble to get repairs done to the vehicles so that calls for service could be answered.

Repair costs have bee estimated in excess of $6000.00
