Last Friday morning, a vehicle travelling westbound was stopped form a routine traffic check that led to a drug seizure. Approximately 5 grams of hashish were seized.
Last Friday morning, a vehicle travelling westbound was stopped form a routine traffic check that led to a drug seizure. Approximately 5 grams of hashish were seized. A 21-year-old female from the Pembroke area was charged with possession of a controlled substance.

On Saturday, the O.P.P. was called to investigate an assault complaint. As a result, a young offender was charged with 2 counts of assault and 2 counts of breach of probation.

On Saturday evening, a Ford Windstar was forced off the road on Vixen Lake Road behind Searchmont. The van slid into a deep ditch causing extensive damage. The vehicle, that was to be towed out the following morning, was left at the scene. When the owner returned he found his outboard motor, fishing gear, toolbox and other items were stolen.

The O.P.P. also investigated two accidents on Highway 17 north over he weekend where moose were involved.
