Weekend Wrap

Sault Ste Marie OPP experienced the usual array of police activities since last Friday. Officers responded to several assault calls where it appears that the consumption of alcohol had blurred some callers version of exactly what an assault is considered to be. Officers could find no grounds to lay any charges against anyone involved

Officers also responded to traffic complaints involving speeders and improper passing. There were two reports of vehicles going into ditches. One was on Pioneer Road in Echo Bay and the second was on Hwy 556 between Searchmont and Heyden. In both circumstances no one was injured and no charges were laid against the drivers.
