FAIL TO REMAIN (Elliot Lake, Ont.) Police are requesting the assistance of the public regarding a possible fail to remain collision in the parking lot of Centennial Arena in Elliot Lake.

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) Police are requesting the assistance of the public regarding a possible fail to remain collision in the parking lot of Centennial Arena in Elliot Lake. The victim reported to police that while he was at the arena for the Trade Show on May 3rd, 2008 between 1:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. unknown person(s) backed into his vehicle a small blue Ford Aspire (with roof racks) causing damage to the front passenger side door.

WANTED FEMALE ARRESTED

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) The East Algoma OPP located a wanted female during a routine traffic stop. On May 9th, 2008 in the early hours police located and arrested Karen TRIMBLE (33) of Elliot Lake.

TRIMBLE is charged with the following:

Break Enter
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
Fail to Comply X3
Possession, Use, Traffic Credit Card

TRIMBLE remains in custody.

LOCAL BUSINESS VICTIM

(Blind River, Ont.) Police are currently investigating a break enter and theft at the Lakeview Inn in Blind River. The owner reports that sometime between 10:00 p.m. May 7th, 2008 and 7:00 a.m. May 8th, 2008 unknown culprit(s) pried entry into the restaurant area. Undisclosed amount of cash was taken.

CHARGES LAID AFTER ALTERCATION AT SCHOOL BUS STOP

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) The East Algoma OPP has charged a local 15-year-old male after received a call of a possible assault. Investigation revealed that on May 8th, 2008 at approximately 8:00 a.m. the victim attended a school bus stop. At the stop, the accused allegedly assaulted the victim.

Charged with Assault is a 15-year-old male of Elliot Lake. The youth is scheduled to appear in court on July 8th, 2008.

The name of the accused will not be released under the jurisdiction of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

LOCAL RANCH VICTIM OF THEFT

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) Police are currently investigating a theft at a local ranch. Information received indicates that for approximately 2 months unknown person(s) have taken items from the ranch. Items missing are cowboy boots, a fishing road and real, and a set or ratchet straps.

Police are asking the public to be vigilant of any suspicious activities in and around Shan’n Doe Ranch on Highway 108, north of Elliot Lake. If suspicious activity is noticed please do not hesitate to call police.

BREAK AND ENTER’S ON THE RISE NORTH OF SAULT STE. MARIE

(Snow Twp., Ont.) Three camps north of the Ranger Lake Resort on Ranger Lake Road have been broken into within the last week.

The owner of the Ranger Lake Resort had attended the area and found three of his neighbor’s camps broken into.

One of the camps had a 20 gauge Remington shot gun in a green case stolen.

Since May 1st, the O.P.P. has investigated 10 Break and Enter’s off of Highway 556.
