BEWARE OF BEAR!
(Elliot Lake, Ont.) The Ministry of Natural Resources and the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police would like to inform the public that a small to medium bear has been sighted in the area of Esten Drive North, South and roads in between. Reports indicated that this bear may have approached people around the Taylor Blvd. area.
Be aware of the bear and report any sightings to the OPP immediately at 1-888-310-1122.
THEFT IN AWERES TOWNSHIP
(Aweres Twp., Ont.) A resident in the 800 block of Highway 17 in Aweres Township returned home from an extended vacation yesterday afternoon to find that four vehicles parked in the driveway, including a motor home had their windows smashed out.
The motor home had also been ransacked.
A large amount of copper cable was stolen from the back yard of the residence.
