DOMESTIC INCIDENT (Batchewana First Nation, ON) - On Sunday, May 5 th , 2013 at approximately 7:30 am Sault Ste. Marie OPP responded to a domestic dispute on the Batchewana First Nation.

(Batchewana First Nation, ON) On Sunday, May 5th, 2013 at approximately 7:30 am Sault Ste. Marie OPP responded to a domestic dispute on the Batchewana First Nation.

It is alleged a female broke into a residence and assaulted a male and female occupant.

No medical treatment was required.

The female was arrested and charged with one count of Break and Enter, one count of Mischief under $5000 and two counts of Assault contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused was released on a Promise to Appear for court.

CANOE AND KAYAK TOPSIZE IN BATCHEWANA RIVER

(Batchewana River, ON)  Friday May 3rd at 4:00 pm Sault Ste. Marie OPP received a call regarding two people in a canoe and one person in a kayak in distress on the Batchewana River.

Two males in a canoe and one forty-five year old male in a kayak went through some rapids and lost control flipping both the canoe and kayak.  The water was higher than they expected.

The two men in the canoe managed to make it to shore but lost sight of their friend and could not locate him.

The two men managed to flag down a CN Railway train and information was relayed to the OPP.

The OPP helicopter was dispatched and the missing kayaker was located at approximately 8:15 pm walking along the railway tracks near Batchewana Station and is in good health.

TWO CAMPS ENTERED

(Snow Twp., ON)  On Friday, May 3, 2013, a break and enter to a camp in the Ranger Lake area was reported.

Suspect(s) gained entry by kicking in the door.

No items were stolen but the camp was completely damaged, smashing out the windows, and damaging several items on the inside of the camp.

(Fenwick Twp., ON)  On Sunday, May 5, 2013 a break and enter was reported to camp in the 1500 block of Goulais Mission Road.

Suspect(s) gained entry by kicking in the door.

No items were stolen.
