NUMEROUS VEHICLES ENTERED (Aweres Twp., ON) – Numerous vehicles were entered in the area of Lakeview Drive and Heyden Lake Road in Aweres Township. The break-ins were discovered by owners on Friday, 29 October 2010.

(Aweres Twp., ON) – Numerous vehicles were entered in the area of Lakeview Drive and Heyden Lake Road in Aweres Township. The break-ins were discovered by owners on Friday, 29 October 2010. Stolen items included a cell phone, camera, and money.

A Coca Cola service truck was also entered and a hand held ordering machine used for inventory was taken along with a steel box containing a series of 40 vending machine keys.

Vehicle owners are reminded to keep their vehicles locked, keys removed, windows closed and valuables out of sight.

TRAVEL TRAILER STOLEN
(Fenwick Twp.,ON) – Sometime between Wednesday October 27 2010 and Saturday October 30, 2010 a travel trailer was reported stolen to OPP from a residence in the 200 block of Old Hwy 17 Road in Goulais River. The travel trailer is described as a 26 ft. 2008 Jayco “Jay Flight”, white in colour with licence plate number F8745E. The trailer was parked beside the garage at the front of the residence.

IMPAIRED DRIVER ARRESTED
(Sault Ste. Marie, ON) – On the 30th October 2010 at 01:30 am OPP Officer’s on general patrol observed a vehicle driving in the closed portion of McNabb St. The gold coloured Pontiac vehicle was stopped at the intersection of McNabb and Manitou Drive. Upon speaking with the male driver, investigation revealed that the driver had allegedly been drinking alcohol and showed signs of impairment. 36 year old Ryan Neil Walker of 10 August St., Batchewana First Nation was arrested and charged with the following: Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Driving a motor vehicle with over 80 milligrams of Alcohol, and Drive While Disqualified contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada and two counts of Driving while under suspension and one count of Driving on a closed highway contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear for court on 29 November 2010.
