Ranger Lake, Ont. - Sault Ste Marie OPP are investigating two break and enters in the Ranger Lake area east of Searchmont.

Over the weekend, property owners at Ranger Lake and Spike Lake discovered that sometime in the past three weeks their respective camps had been entered and a variety of property removed.
Washer/dryer damaged


Blind River, Ont.

Sometime between 11 and 13 November a coin operated washer and was damaged at a Leacock Street apartment.

Thieves attempted to remove the change from the machines but were unsuccessful on one unit.

They may have stolen approximately $20 from the other machine.

The machines were damaged extensively during the attempt.

Vehicle window smashed

While parked at the St. Joseph Health Centre in Blind River a van window was smashed.

Culprits did not appear to enter the vehicle and nothing appeared to be stolen.

Building entered

On the 15th November police were called after a citizen noticed someone trying to break into the basement of a Woodward Avenue business.

It was the second time the business had been targeted.

Sometime between Thursday 11 November and Sunday 14 November prior to 11:30 a.m., persons had broken into the same building.

The would-be thieves rummaged through some paperwork but did not appear to take anything.
