Auxiliary members of the Sault Ste. Marie Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police will be at Rome's Your Independent Grocer, 44 Great Northern Rd., collecting donations for the local food banks on Dec. 17.
They will be accepting all non-perishable food items, canned items, cereal, pasta, sauce, juice, children's snacks and condiments.
All donations will be delivered to the food banks which serves families in need throughout the Algoma District.
The event will run from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
