OPP on lookout for boat that passed 'dangerously close' to swimming kids

Ontario Provincial Police are trying to track down a boat that was reported to pass dangerously close to a group of swimmers.

At around 6 p.m. on Wednesday, OPP were told a boat came within 15 to 20 feet of youths who were swimming at the public beach on Lake Lauzon in The North Shore.

“Concerned parents on the beach began yelling at the occupants of the boat and while doing so the boat returned, began cursing at the people on shore and left in a reckless manner,” said OPP in a news release.

Police are hoping the public can help them identify four people who were in the white boat bearing the serial number KMV2000D0.
