OPP CONCLUDE INVESTIGATION INTO ALLEGED MISCONDUCT OF SAULT STE. MARIE POLICE SERVICE OFFICER

(Sault Ste. Marie, ON) The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Criminal Investigation Branch has completed its investigation into the alleged criminal misconduct of a Sault Ste. Marie Police Service officer.

The OPP received a request from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service in October, 2008 to conduct an investigation into the conduct of one of its members.

At the conclusion of the investigation, it was determined no reasonable grounds existed to warrant criminal charges. The matter has been referred to the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service for their internal review.
