THEFT FROM GAS BAR
Echo Bay, Ont.

The Sault O.P.P. is investigating the theft of money from the Pit Stop Gas Bar in Echo Bay. At 5:15p.m. yesterday, a single young male entered the rear office and removed an envelope containing cash. He then exited the gas bar undetected and drove away in a mid-sized white car heading west on Highway 17 toward the Sault.

The investigation has led to the seizure of a surveillance video from the store that will be used in an attempt to identify the suspect as well as his vehicle.

He is described as being a white male, about 6 feet tall, slender build, short brown hair wearing a white t-shirt and dark pants. His car was a mid 90’s 4-door mid-sized car with a sunroof and a rear spoiler. The car also had white hub caps or rims.

If you have any information, you are asked to call the Sault O.P.P. or Crime Stoppers.
