ARMED ROBBERY

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) On Friday, November 20, 2009 at approximately 5:40 p.m. a male subject armed with a weapon attended the C & R Variety Convenience Store on Esten Drive South in Elliot Lake and demanded cash from the clerk. The subject then fled the scene.

Officers of the East Algoma OPP as well as the Canine Unit and Emergency Response Members attended the scene. Police are continuing their investigation.
