TILLEY TOWNSHIP - On April 29, 2019, members from the Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and North East Region Crime Unit commenced an investigation of sexual assault. The reported incident occurred during the month of August, 2018 in Tilley Township, Ontario.
As a result of the investigation, a 62 year-old Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario man was charged with the following:
- Sexual interference contrary to section 151 of the Criminal Code (CC),
- Sexual assault contrary to section 271 of the CC,
- Fail to comply with probation order contrary to section 733.1(1) of the CC.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on May 13, 2019 located at 426 Queen Street, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
