U.S. SEX OFFENDER LOCATED NORTH OF SAULT
Goulais River, Ont.,

Ontario Provincial Police in Sault Ste. Marie have located a 36-year-old Indiana man wanted for sex offences in the United States.

Early Saturday, O.P.P. in Sault Ste. Marie started an investigation after a truck belonging to the man was located stuck in the ditch on a very isolated side road in Goulais River.

The investigation revealed that the owner of the truck, 36-year-old Micheal Reahard of North Manchester Indiana, was wanted for multiple felony child abuse charges by Wabash County Sheriff’s Department in the State of Indiana.

Michael Reahard was taken into custody without incident by Sault Ste. Marie O.P.P. at about 8:20 p.m. Saturday night. Officers located Reahard walking on Hwy 552 East, between Hwy 556 and Bellevue Valley Road, in Goulais River. He was dressed in a brown parka and brown snow pants. He was arrested by the officer for an outstanding immigration warrant. He advised the officer that he had been walking for most of the day.

Ontario Provincial Police officers have turned the accused over to members of Canada Customs Revenue and Immigration Service. A warrant for Reahard’s arrest was issued by Canada Customs Revenue and Immigration for being unlawfully in Canada.
