Highway 17 in Garden River was closed for about 90 minutes last night after a bad collision about two kilometres east of Perron's gas station. Three vehicles were involved, two of which hit head-on, police tell SooToday.com.

There were no life-threatening injuries, although one person had to be extricated using the Jaws of Life.

That individual was taken to Sault Area Hospital with a leg injury.

The accident happened around 9:25 p.m. yesterday.

It involved a grey van and a red pick-up truck.

A description of the third vehicle was not immediately available.

OPP are continuing their investigation into the accident.
