A Sault Ste. Marie teen has been charged with speeding on Highway 548 in St. Joseph Township.
Police say that on Friday just after 2:00 p.m., officers observed a speeding vehicle and conducted a traffic stop shortly after.
As a result, Dakota Corbett, 19, has been charged with speeding by 50 or more km/h, contrary to section 172(1) of the Highway Traffic Act.
The driver's licence was suspended for seven days and the vehicle impounded as well for seven days.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sault Ste Marie on Sept. 9
