Break and Enter

Some time overnight on the Tuesday the 27th of August, thieves broke into the Timberland Store on Hwy#17 in Fenwick Twp. Alcohol, cigarettes and a small quantity of cash was taken.

Trailer Stolen

Sometime between August 22nd and 24th a 7’ x 12’ United , Black Enclosed Trailer was taken from the residence at 73 Hurley St in MacDonald Twp Echo Bay. The Thieves cut the lock off the tongue of the trailer. This enclosed trailer has a side door and double rear doors. It has a 2 inch dent on the top passenger side of the trailer. License plate 85819V was on the vehicle when taken.

Traffic Stop results in Drug Seizure:

Members of the Superior East Detachment (Chapleau) were patrolling Hwy #101 in Cochrane Twp. at approx. 2:00 a.m. on the 26th of August 2008. Officers stopped a Pontiac Sunfire for a Highway Traffic Act violation. The subsequent investigation at the scene resulted in the seizure of a quantity of drugs. Approx. 120 grams of the alleged drug (Methamphetamine) was seized. The driver of the vehicle was arrested and charged with an offence under the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act.

(The street value of the seized drug is approx. $12,000.00)
