Fatal motor vehicle collision
On Thursday, February 13, 2014 at approximately 7 a.m., members of the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment responded to a fatal motor vehicle collision 1 km east of Blind River.
Members of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI), Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Fire Department are currently on scene assisting with the investigation.
As a result, police have closed Highway 17 east of Blind River.
The identity of the deceased male is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The investigation is ongoing.
