NO INJURIES IN SNOWPLOUGH COLLISION

No one was injured after a snowplough and car collided at the intersection of Maple Leaf Road and Hwy 17 yesterday morning.

At about 8:30 a.m. yesterday, a car was traveling west on Hwy 17 approaching the intersection of Maple Leaf Road and Hwy 17. A snowplough was stopped on Maple Leaf Road and then pulled onto Hwy 17 into the path of the oncoming car.

The car struck the front corner of the plough. No one was injured in the collision but the car had to be towed from the scene.

The driver of the plough, thirty five year old Edward Karhi of Echo Bay, has been charged with making an improper left turn
