HIGHWAY CLOSURE THIS EVENING

The Sudbury O.P.P. is continuing its investigation into the accident that injured Constable Lucie Sirois last Saturday. As part of the investigation, they will be closing Highway 17 at Regional Road 55 (near Sudbury) to all traffic this evening between 7 and 10 p.m.

Eastbound vehicles will be re-routed via Regional Road 55 and westbound traffic via Long Lake Road.

Constable Sirois was seriously injured when she was struck by a westbound vehicle while she was assisting in the investigation of a two-vehicle collision last Saturday.

She remains in serious but stable condition at St. Joseph's Medical Centre in Sudbury. Her condition is improving daily.
