TRAVELING WILL TRICKY TODAY SO SLOW DOWN!!

Traveling around the Sault Ste Marie area will be just a little tricky today as gusty winds continue to cause limited visibility in the area.
As of this morning Highway 17 in both directions is open. Visibility remains limited to poor on most stretches of the roadways due to gusty winds blowing snow across the roadways. If you intend to travel today, make sure you are prepared for lengthy unexpected waiting times in your vehicle.
Advised someone of your travel plans, the route you intend on taking and your anticipated arrival time at your destination. If you are delayed or otherwise unable to complete your trip, call them and let them know where you are and where you are staying. Don’t rely on your cell phones while traveling in Northern Ontario. They don’t work in most of the isolated stretches of highway north of Sault Ste Marie.
Remember that the weather conditions are far from ideal therefore slow down and drive like YOUR life depends on it.
