BREAK IN’S REPORTED

(Batchewana First Nation, ON) – Sometime between the 14th and the 15th of July, 2009 person(s) unknown entered the sawmill building of Sault Forest Products on Gran St.

No items were stolen but minor damage was reported on the interior of the building.

(Batchewana First Nation, ON) – A camp in the 2000 block of Goulais Mission Road was broken into within the past three days.

Candles and an air horn were taken from the camp.

Drug Warrant Executed

On Wednesday the 15th of July 2009 members of the Wikwemikong Tribal Police, the OPP Drug Enforcement Section Sudbury and the U.C.C.M Police Joint Forces Operation executed a Controlled Drug and Substance Act Warrant at a local residence in Wikwemikong, Ontario.

As a result of conducting the search at this residence, police seized Cannabis Marihuana and Offence related property.

The following,

1. Donovan Michael Duke TAIBOSSIGAI

2. Nathan James BRYANT

3. Malcolm Wayne Junior RECOLLET

4. Wendy Zoe SHIGWADJA

Are charged with,

• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cannabis Marihuana, section 5 of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

• Possession of property obtained by crime, section 354(1) (a) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

Donovan Micheal Duke TAIBOSSIGAI and Malcolm Wayne Junior RECOLLET will appear in bail court on the 17th of July 2009 in Gore Bay, Ontario.

This investigation is part of an on-going initiative by members of the Wikwemikong Tribal Police Service, OPP Drug Enforcement Section Sudbury and the U.C.C.M Police Joint Forces Operation to address the increase in crime and drug related activity.

REAR HATCH WINDOW SMASHED

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) The East Algoma OPP is currently investigating a broken window of a vehicle.

On July 15, 2009 police were called to attend the parking lot of the local hospital regarding a possible mischief. On scene the officer noted the rear hatch window of a vehicle had been smashed. The damage was done sometime between July 14, 2009 at 6:40 p.m. and July 15, 2009 at 7:09 a.m.

WATER IN THE GAS TANK … NOT FUNNY!

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) Police are currently investigating a mischief to a vehicle on Colwill Drive in Elliot Lake.

Investigation revealed that the victim had problems with his car and when checked by a garage it was reported that the gas tank contained several gallons of water thus causing the vehicle to break down.

Police believed the water was put in the gas tank sometime between July 12, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. and July 14, 2009 at 10:00 a.m.
