Superior East Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police advise of the following Road Advisory:

Brief Description of Event: Forestfire
Detour: Hwy 17 at Sault Ste. Marie or Hwy 129 through Chapleau.

UPDATE: Missing Person Located Safe and Sound

Sault Ste Marie OPP advised that Mr Jody Hamilton who was reported missing to police Wednesday afternoon was located at 11:00 p.m. Wednesday evening. Mr. Hamilton was safe and sound. The Police wishes to thank the media for their assistance in helping locate Mr. Hamilton.

Public Assistance Sought in Locating a Missing Echo Bay Man

(Echo Bay, ON) Sault Ste Marie OPP are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a Echo Bay man missing since Monday 24th of May. Mr. Jody Hamilton age 36 of Echo Bay was last seen at his residence in Echo at 11:30 on Monday the 24th of May. Mr Hamilton is described as a white male, 5 foot 11 inches tall, weighing 200 lbs with dark brown hair and wearing glasses. Mr Hamilton left his home driving a 2000 Dodge Caravan Silver in colour Ontario licence ATZP725. Family and friends are concerned for Mr. Hamilton’s safety due to medical concerns and are asking anyone who might have seen Jody since Monday afternoon to call the Sault Ste Marie OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or if in contact with Jody have him call home.
