YOUTH CHARGED WITH ASSAULT

(Hodgins Twp., ON) – OPP were called to a family dispute yesterday evening at 9:15 p.m. in Searchmont, Ontario.

The investigation revealed that a 15 year old female had (allegedly) physically assaulted her mother by pushing and punching her in the chest and facial area. No medical attention was required.

The 15 year old female was arrested and charged with Assault and Breach of Undertaking.

She was held in custody for Bail court today.

LESSON TO BE LEARNED

(Havilland Twp., ON) - OPP responded to call yesterday evening of two missing children from the Havilland Shores Drive area.

A call was received from the mother of a 7 year old boy and 10 year old boy. The boys had been biking around the area since 7:00 pm. By 8:30 pm the mother could not locate the boys after searching the area by foot and by vehicle.

Members of the OPP Emergency Response Unit and the OPP Canine Unit were called to the scene.

At 9:40 pm the two youths returned to their residence on their own. They had attended at a friend’s residence without telling a parent where they were going.

It is important to always tell an adult where are you are going.

BREAK AND ENTER TO BUSINESS

(Blind River, Ontario) –On May 26, 2009 at approximately 7:50 a.m. the East Algoma Blind River Detachment received a call regarding a break and enter on Hudson Street, Blind River, Ontario.

Suspects entered the building damaging doors, windows, walls and a desk. It is estimated that approximately $300.00 in damage occurred.

Nothing was taken in the break and enter.

BREAK AND ENTER TO RESIDENCE

(Nestorville, ON.) – On May 27, 2009 at approximately 9:15 a.m. the East Algoma Thessalon Detachment were contacted regarding a break and enter to a residence located on Highway 17 in Nestorville, Ontario. Nestorville is located approximately 3 kilometres west of Thessalon, Ontario.

Suspects broke into the residence and destroyed doors, walls, the bathroom area and several windows. The damage is estimated at $5000.00

BREAK AND ENTER TO BUSINESS

(Thessalon First Nation, ON.) – On May 27, 2009 at approximately 8:30 a.m. the East Algoma Thessalon OPP were dispatched to a break and enter on Biish Road, Thessalon First Nation, Ontario.

Suspects pried a door open a five gallon container of gasoline.

BREAK AND ENTER TO BUSINESS

(Blind River, ON.) – On May 26, 2009 at approximately 8:15 a.m. members of the East Algoma Blind River Detachment responded to a break and enter located on Hanes Avenue, Blind River, Ontario.

The break and enter occurred sometime between May 25, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. and May 26, 2009 at 8:15 a.m.

Approximately $200 was taken in the break and enter.
