Is the highway still open ??? That question will be the most popular one to be answered on police phones today.

We want to ask you a question right back. If the weather is so bad that you have to phone to see if the highway is closed YET then what is so important that you have to travel in such bad weather ???

The high winds and snow that the Sault Ste Marie and area are now experiencing is expected to continue for most of the day. Area highways remain snow covered AND OPEN. Visibility on all area highways is poor due to blowing and drifting snow

OPP right across the region are asking you not to call the OPP for highway conditions. Please call the M.T.O Winter Highway Information telephone line at 945-5924.
