An early morning speeder on Hwy 17 in Garden River turned out to be more than just your regular ticket.

At 1:00 a.m. this morning officers clocked an eastbound vehicle on Hwy 17 in Garden River at 35 kilometers over the posted speed limit. The vehicle was pulled over and the driver showed indications that he had been drinking.

He was taken to the OPP detachment for breathalyzer testing. As a result, twenty two year old Benjamin Grawbarger of Garden River First Nation was charged with Impaired Driving. He will appear in court in early November.


ANOTHER DRINKING DRIVER JUST UNDER THE LIMIT

A second driver that was detected driving after he was drinking was just a little luckier than others this week. Last night Sault Ste Marie OPP stopped a southbound vehicle on Hwy 17 in Heyden.
