MISCHIEF TO BUS SHELTER

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) Sometime on October 17, 2008 between the hours of 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. unknown persons damaged a bus shelter on Roman Avenue by breaking a window on the south side of the shelter.

OCAL BUSINESS VICTIM OF THEFT

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) Police are currently investigating a break enter and theft at Farquhar Loading and Hauling.

Police learned that sometime on or about October 3rd, 2008 unknown person(s) had entered a locked shed and stolen three chain saws and a small generator.

LOCAL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY VICTIM OF THEFT

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) On Sunday, October 19, 2008 police received a call regarding a possible theft.

On scene police learned that between October 18, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. and October 19, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. culprits broke into a utility trailer owned by a local construction company. Taken from the trailer was a generator, an air compressor and various other tools. The trailer was parked on Algom Road at the time of the incident.

MISCHIEF TO GREENHOUSES AND SHEDS AT LOCAL HIGHSCHOOL

(Desbarats, Ontario) On Wednesday October 22, 2008 shortly after 9:00 a.m. the East Algoma Thessalon OPP received a report of the greenhouse and sheds at Central Algoma Secondary School being damaged.

Suspects cut locks and kicked in doors on the greenhouse and 4 sheds. Nothing was taken from any of the buildings.

The mischief occurred between Tuesday October 21, 2008 at the end of the school day to Wednesday October 22, 2008 at 9:00 a.m.

SCHOOL PATROLS EFFECTIVE

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) On October 22, 2008 at approximately 3:26 p.m. an officer of the East Algoma OPP was on general school patrol when he observed a male assaulting another male. Officers attended the area and the suspect was arrested.

Charged with Assault and Breach of Probation is a 16-year-old male from Elliot Lake. The name of the accused will not be released as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The youth is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court on December 2, 2008.
