MALE FACING NUMEROUSE CHARGES (Blind River, ON.) – On October 25, 2011 at 2:28 a.m. officers from the East Algoma OPP saw people standing outside a parked car on Causley Street in Blind River.
MALE FACING NUMEROUSE CHARGES

(Blind River, ON.) – On October 25, 2011 at 2:28 a.m. officers from the East Algoma OPP saw people standing outside a parked car on Causley Street in Blind River. When the officers began to approach the car a male fled on a side street running through people’s yards.

The officer located the male a short distance away on Hudson Street. He was intoxicated and began yelling obscenities at the officer as he ran towards the cruiser. Just as the officer was exiting the police cruiser he was kicked by the male who then fled.

Police later located the male on North Street where the he was taken into custody. Wylie MATHESON, aged 20 from Mississauga First Nation has been charged with the following offences:

• Assault a Peace Officer 2 counts
• Mischief Under $5000
• Cause Disturbance
• Fail to comply-Undertaking
• Being intoxicated in public place

MATHESON was released and is scheduled to appear in Blind River court on December 8, 2011.

STOLEN ITEMS

(HAVILLAND TWP, ON) - a shed in the 200 block of Havilland Township was broken into within the past several days.

Stolen items include: five gallon gas tank, leaf blower, hedge trimmer, and fishing equipment.
