HIGHWAY DETOURAND MORE RADAR PATROLS NEXT WEEK

(Echo Bay, Ont.) Motorists who regularly travel on Hwy 17 east of Echo Bay can expect a temporary detour starting next Monday.

The construction company building the new by-pass has indicated that, starting on Monday morning they will be connecting the new by-pass to the existing highway. There will be a detour around the work area as well as a reduce speed limit in the area. Workers on the site have asked the OPP to conduct radar patrol in the area because of motorists traveling well in excess of the speed limit in the construction area.
