OPP SEEK INFORMATION ON BREAK AND ENTER (CHAPLEAU, ON) – On March 2 nd , 2012 the Ontario Provincial Police Superior East Chapleau Detachment were advised of break and enters that had occurred at Borden Lake Campground on Highway 101.

(CHAPLEAU, ON)  – On March 2nd, 2012 the Ontario Provincial Police Superior East Chapleau Detachment were advised of break and enters that had occurred at Borden Lake Campground on Highway 101.  It is believed that the break in(s) occurred sometime during the night of March 1st.  A total of three trailers were entered resulting in damage to one of the trailers.  There was nothing stolen from the properties.  Anyone with any information is requested to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers.

BREAK AND ENTER INVESTIGATION

(WAWA, ON)  – On April 6th, 2012 the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East Wawa Detachment were advised of a break and enter that had occurred at a residence on Winston Rd.  It is believed that the break in occurred sometime during the night of April 5th.  Stolen from the residence were a safe and its contents valued at $350.  OPP later located the safe in another area and the investigation is continuing at this time. 

On April 12th OPP arrested 18 year old Clint CADREAU and 21 year old Dalton CLEMENT, both of Michipicoten First Nation were arrested and charged with break and enter in relation to this matter.  CADREAU is scheduled to appear on May 14th and CLEMENT is to appear on June 11th, 2012 to answer to their charges.

MALE SPRAYED WITH BEAR SPRAY

(WAWA, ON) - Ontario Provincial Police Superior East Wawa Detachment have arrested 18 year old Clint CADREAU of Michipicoten First Nation for an assault that took place on Friday April 6th just after 1:00 am.  The accused was arrested on the 12th April and was taken to Sault Ste Marie for a bail hearing.  Charges include administering noxious substance causing bodily harm and failing to comply with a sentence order.  The next court date in this matter is scheduled for May 14th, 2012 in Wawa.

UTTER THREAT CHARGE LAID

(WAWA, ON) – On April 13th, 2012 Ontario Provincial Police Superior Wawa Detachment responded to a domestic disturbance call.  As a result of police investigation a 38 year old male from Wawa was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code Charges;

  1. Utter Threat to Damage Property
  2. Breach of Probation

The accused is scheduled to appear in Wawa Court on June 11, 2012.  The name of the accused will not be released in order to protect the identity of the victim in this matter.

YOUTH CHARGED WITH BREACH

(WAWA, ON) – On April 17th, 2012 Ontario Provincial Police Superior East Wawa Detachment were called to a residence in Hawk Junction.  The complaint was in regards to a youth that was out of control and that had been consuming alcohol.  As a result OPP arrested a 17 year old youth for Failing to Comply with an Undertaking.  He was later released from custody and will appear in Wawa Criminal Court on May 14th to answer to this charge.
