TRACTOR TRAILER DRIVER ARRESTED
(Madonald-Meredith-Aberdeen Additional, ON) On April 29th 2013 at 2:50 pm Sault Ste. Marie OPP received a traffic complaint involving a westbound maroon tractor trailer on Highway 17 East weaving all over the roadway.
The tractor trailer was located shortly afterwards pulled over on the side of the highway near Watson's Road.
An odour of an alcoholic beverage was detected coming from the driver.
Open cans of beer were located in the vehicle.
Investigation revealed that the driver had been consuming alcohol.
Forty-nine year old Janusz MOZER of Golden Orchard Drive, Mississauga, Ontario was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with Drive Motor Vehicle with over 80 milligrams of alcohol; under the Liquor Licence Act with having liquor readily available to the driver; and under the Highway Traffic Act with Failing to Maintain daily log.
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear for court on May 27, 2013.
