BREAK AND ENTER TO TRAILER (Galbraith Township, Ontario) On Monday August 20, 2007 the East Algoma Thessalon Detachment received a report of a break and enter to a Logging Supply Trailer located in Galbraith Township, north of Bruce Mines, Ontario.

(Galbraith Township, Ontario) On Monday August 20, 2007 the East Algoma Thessalon Detachment received a report of a break and enter to a Logging Supply Trailer located in Galbraith Township, north of Bruce Mines, Ontario.

Approximately $1000 worth of equipment was taken including fuel, oil, an oxygen tank, and a hand pump. The break and enter occurred sometime between Friday August 17 – Monday August 20, 2007.

THEFT OF SOLAR POWER EQUIPMENT

(Bruce Mines, Ontario) On Monday August 20, 2007 a theft of solar power equipment from a farm located north of Bruce Mines, Ontario was reported to the East Algoma Thessalon Detachment.

Approximately $500 worth of equipment was stolen including solar panels, an inverter and batteries.

UPDATE: Missing Woman on Whitefish Island Found Safe and Sound

Ontario Provincial Police Emergency Response Team members supported by the OPP Canine Handler and Sault Ste Marie Search and Rescue Volunteers conducted a search on Whitefish Island early Tuesday morning for Kathy Henderson age 46 of Sault Ste Marie. Ms. Henderson was reported missing by a friend when they became separated on the Island last night at 10:00 p.m. OPP officers found Ms. Henderson at 6:53 a.m. Tuesday morning. She had fallen and lost her glasses and decided to stay put until day break. This incident is an example of how when lost or turned around, the best practice is to stay in one location and let the searchers find you.
