Two people were taken to Sault Area Hospital yesterday after a two-vehicle collision on Pine Shores Drive in Goulais River. Yesterday at about 2:30 p.m. a vehicle was traveling on Pine Shores Drive when the driver lost control of the vehicle.

Yesterday at about 2:30 p.m. a vehicle was traveling on Pine Shores Drive when the driver lost control of the vehicle.

The vehicle started to slide into the path of a second oncoming vehicle.

The second driver drove into the ditch to avoid the collision but was struck by the first vehicle.

Two teenagers from one vehicle were taken to Sault Area Hospital by ambulance for treatment of minor injuries.

One teen had to be removed from the vehicle with the assistance of Goulais Fire and Rescue.

This collision is still under investigation.

Road closure - Highway 6

(Little Current, Ont.) - The Little Current detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are advising that due to a winter storm that is currently being experienced in that area, Highway 6 from Espanola to Manitowaning is being closed.

Visibility and accumulations of snow have made driving conditions extremely hazardous.

Motorists should exercise extreme caution, and adjust travel plans accordingly.
