(Emsdale, Ont)-Almaguin Highlands OPP are presently investigating a home invasion that occurred at approximately 6:15 pm on Monday the 27th of December 2004 on Fernglen Rd. in Perry Twp.

The lone male assailant entered the residence by kicking in the front wooden door, pulling out the telephone line and demanding money from the 89 yr old female resident, the resident complied with the demand

The assailant attended her bed room and searched through her purse and her dresser door. The assailant left the residence a few minutes later with approximately $100.00 in cash.

The culprit is described as being male approximately 40 to 45 yrs with normal speech, approximately 5' 7 to 5'10 wearing a brown toque, dark cloth like material over his face and a hip length dark beige winter jacket which appeared to be made of a nylon type material.

The victim did not sustain any injuries as a result of this occurrence.
